    Magnetocaloric Effect (MCE): Currently we are working on the magnetocaloric effect of Ni and

    Mn-based Heusler alloys across their first or, second order magnetic phase transitions. We are mainly focusing on the development of environment-friendly, non-toxic, and cost-effective magnetic refrigerants with large magnetocaloric parameters such as Isothermal magnetic entropy change (ΔSM) & Adiabatic temperature change (ΔTad). These parameters are extracted indirectly from the iso-thermal magnetic and iso-field heat capacity measurements. 

    Electrocaloric Effect (ECE): We are working on the Electrocaloric effect on lead free perovskite materials. Electrocaloric effect is generally governed by two important parameters i.e. Isothermal entropy change (∆𝑆) and adiabatic temperature change (∆T). Here, these parameters were calculated by using the indirect method. 

    Permanent Magnets: Permanent magnets are those materials that generate the magnetic field by the internal structure of materials. The magnetic field generated by materials is the sum of electron spin and orbits of electrons. Generally, permanent magnets have large coercivity and high remanent magnetization. The barium hexaferrite is one of the oxide materials which have both properties. The strength of permanent magnets represents in terms of (BH)max. we are trying to improve the magnetic energy product of barium hexaferrite by making the composite with other soft magnetic materials through the exchange spring phenomenon. We are demonstrating different applications of magnetic materials.

    Magnetoelectric composite: Our research group is actively engaged to develop composite for magnetoelectronic applications.

    Polymer composite: Enhancement of dielectric constant has been demonstrated by our research group in the polymer-ceramic nanocomposite for energy storage application. Several other phenomena are demonstrated and we are actively working on developing the ceramic-polymer nanocomposite. 

    Correlation between magnetic dipole polarization: Our research group has reported physical properties correlation in the material. The correlation between crystal structure and magnetic/electric properties of the material. Also, we have observed the correlation between the magnetic and electric properties of the material.
