Biography

I joined the TFTL in 2020 during my M.Tech project, where I worked on improving machine learning techniques to predict thermal runaway in pool boiling applications. In 2021, I joined the same lab as a Ph.D. student under an Indo-Korea project focused on condensation heat transfer, before receiving the Prime Minister's Research Fellowship.
My current research focuses on enhancing condensation heat transfer by in-situ modification of uncoated metallic condenser surfaces into slippery coated surfaces through the addition of aroma molecules in the vapor phase. The significance of this research lies in the fact that no prior surface fabrication is required, which reduces costs and maintenance. Furthermore, it brings us closer to achieving permanent dropwise condensation on uncoated metallic surfaces—a breakthrough that would significantly boost thermal management applications.
